Solar Installer

If you love working outdoors in the fresh air, and contributing to keeping that air fresh and clean, you'll love being a Solar Installer. Most solar energy systems are photovoltaic (PV) and installed on the roofs of people's houses or businesses.

With the right training, you'll be in great demand as more and more people are turning to solar energy systems to power their houses, businesses, and even cars! Did you know that you can install a solar system on the roof of someone's house or garage, and that system can provide them with all the electricity they need to heat and light their home and charge their electric car ~ so they never have to pay an electric bill or buy gas or have their oil changed again ~ how cool is that?

Once you've had training and some hands-on experience, you may find yourself working for a company that installs new solar PV systems on their existing home, or you may be part of a construction team that installs solar PV as a part of building the home from the ground up.

Or maybe, since you'll know all of the ins and outs of designing the most efficient PV system for the job at hand, as well as the practical considerations of mounting options and selecting the best direction for the solar panels to face to make the most of the sunny hours of the day in that location~ you may decide to take that experience, combined with your training in the "paperwork" part of installing solar PV ~ and open your own contracting business.

Either way, you'll be having a lot of fun working with others to provide clean, virtually inexhaustible energy to homes and businesses, gaining a lot of happy customers, and doing your part, at the same time, to cut down on global warning and improve the environment. It really is a win-win-win situation!
